Have installed and tested with MPEG-2 streams from Technisat recordings, solution works fine. but cutting of HD stream from same source halts at "creating screnshots"
installed CoreAVC, ffdshow as described, tested with both long (2 hour) and short (33 min) recordings same problem.
have turned off the tray icon, and tested all combination of H264 decoders incl. MS DTV-DVD

Environment:
4 core Phenom II
4 Gb mem
Win 7 64 bit
ATI 5450

Any ideas to fix?

Hi have you changed the settings for the preview as you can see in the attachment?
This settings work for me in most cases. In rare cases it's nessessary to first fix the file without cutting and the reopen the fixed file to start cutting.

I have checked the setting, and they are correct. but it is not fixing the problem. have also tried to save the file and open the "fixed" version. same problem. is getting two warnings during the fix:
TS  WARNING: For PID 1324 001AE2A1: Packet discontinuity 12,5
TS  WARNING: For PID 1324 001AE2A2: Packet discontinuity 5,14
could it be a setting in the recorder, that stalls the pre-view? clip is viewable in both VLC, MediaPlayer and DVBViewer
using DVBViewer Recording services to record.

Hi,

do you have a short sample of such a problem file? Maybe 10 to 20 MBytes you can send me to check the format.
My email is support[at]cypheros.de

Hi, I've experience the same problem as lh1015.
There is no possible to cutting a stream. When entering "Prepare cutting", everything looks fine till "creating screenshots" finish. Then starting and ending frame are blank, ruler with recording time is correct, but pressing "Play" button change itself only to "Pause" button - and there is no reaction.
Of course I can play the recording using (for example) Windows Media Player.
Envirom:
AMD Phenom II x4, 8GB RAM, Win7 Profesional 64bit, NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT, TS-Doctor 1.1.35
Recording from Ferguson HF8900 (same as Hivion 9090X Ultima)
How can I solve the problem?

What video coder filter do have on your machine?
If you don't have a supported filter like ffdhow, Cyberlink, Mainconcept, etc. then you should disable the option "Use fast samble grabbing" under Settings/Preview.
Or you could install the free ffdshow filter pack http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow-tryout/ to get a working preview.

I have ffdshow installed. Enabling or disabling "Use fast sample grabbing" do not take any effects. No preview at all.
The problem have appeared when I upgrade to 1.1.35, I suppose.
The problem is only with HD recordings.
I have a test recording, but the problem is my recorder have a min. time of recording of 5 min. so the material is ~240MB (tp0) or ~230MB (ts) and is probably difficult to sending.
Waiting for some ideas :)

Hi, you can use the RawCutter under tools to cut off the first 20 MByte of such a sample.
