Hi,

When stream cleaning is complete, please could we have an extra button to delete the original file? It's a natural next action in the workflow.

Please: NO! NEVER! FORGET IT!  :o :o :o

This is much too dangerous. Before the written output file is really validated, in no case the original input should be deleted!

It happens much too often that a cut was "one iframe off", this does not give any error or warning.
But if you load the output into the next programm in the workflow, lets say handbrake, you often notice that you have cutted too early so the sound at that point was just 2.0 instead of 5.1.
Then you have to reload everything into the doc, adjust cutting points a bit and redo.

If the original input has been already deleted, you are in big troubles now (you COULD fix it by finding all cutting points again and cutting out the 2.0 parts, but this can drive you crazy and takes up a lot of time, reloading back the original into the doc will automatically restore the cutting list, so that the adjustments are a piece of cake)

Well, you don't have to press that button. And I would suggest having an 'Are you sure?' dialog first :-)

Well, you don't have to press that button.

Yeah, some people do know this, fewer people do honor this but many more people will complain when they did and they realize later what they did... and, of course, they blame it on the app and surely they've never touched that button in their life! (Murphy says: "if there is a button, no matter how obscure, some idiot will surely press it some day")

usually Applications (besides "File Managers") should only delete files they have produced themselfs. And NEVER tamper with their inputfiles.

You can easily set up a batch file to fulfill your wishes for your workflow, there is no need to include a kill button.
