Hallo,

zur Zeit meldet Bitdefender Malware-Alarm beim Ausführen der Installationsdatei von TS-Doctor 3.2.33 .

Natürlich ist da keine Malware drin und ich habe das an Bitdefender am 22.04.2024 gemeldet.

Allerdings scheint man bei denen noch nicht in der Gegenwart angekommen zu sein, denn in dem Formular, in dem man False/Positive Meldungen abgeben kann, darf die gemeldete Datei nicht größer als 20MB sein. Der TS-Doctor 3.2 hat aber 60MB. Nach einigem hin und her habe ich denen die Datei über einen anderen Link hochladen können und warte seit mehreren Tagen auf eine Rückmeldung. Ausser einer Meldung, dass die Datei ans "Virus Lab" gesendet wurde, tut sich da nix mehr.

Da sind Avira, Kaspersky und Microsoft flotter.

Wer also Bitdefender einsetzt und den TS-Doctor 3.2.33 installieren möchte, Bitdefender ausschalten oder noch ein paar Tage (oder Wochen?) warten.

Poste mal das DirectX-Log unter Einstellungen/Optionen/Vorschau welches du über die Taste "Zeige DirectX-Log" aufrufen kannst.

Das Schnittfenster wird mit ...funktioniert nicht... Abgebrochen und TS-Doctor wird beendet. Auch nach Deinstallation und Neuinstallation. Vers:3.2.33  Windows 10 pro. Hat bisher immer funktioniert jetzt nicht mehr. Woran kann das liegen?

Thank you for the swift response.
I've chosen the mkv format because it's widely supported by media players and there are a lot of tools out there to manipulate it. I understand your argumentation regarding mkv being vulnerable to erroneous frames. In fact my recordings are rarely damaged but when it happens then, indeed as you state, the audio/video synching beyond the faulty frames is impacted after the container format is changed.
Anyway, still hope that one day it will be possible to batch process the conversion.

Hi, TS-Doctor supports only file by file conversion, yet. I would recommend to convert TS to other container formats only if it's absolutely necessary.

The TS format is a error tolerant format, that will forgive missing packets. Other containers like MP4 or MKV are less tolerant and will skip damaged audio or video frames what can lead to asynchronous sound and picture on playback.

I'm taking daily recordings of cable and satellite transmissions (all .ts files) and during the weekend I edit the recordings to take out the parts I need via TS Doctor. The last step is to convert all extracts to mkv format via "Tools – TS Format Convertor".

I've a question/remark regarding this last step ie. the mkv conversion. Unless I overlooked something the GUI seems to  allow only one file at a time, so with 20 to 30 files and each file taking from approximately 30 seconds to a few minutes to convert it's a rather cumbersome process. Is there no way to improve this, ie. allow to select multiple files at once and process those all sequentially in one run or activate the conversion via the command line and use a kind of steer file that holds all the candidate files.   
I'm aware that there are many other utilities & tools that create mkv format but prefer to keep using just one tool. I believe it could be a useful addition.

Aber unter "Auslegung" kann man die Erträge der einzelnen Module überwachen, werden wohl über den Tag aufkummuliert. Das ist nett, denn einige davon fand ich gestern "überraschend". Und bei einem muß ich wohl wegen Schattenwurfs eines Kamins mal etwas ändern.

Das ist eine Glaubensfrage.
Die Aufnahme ist mit 1920x1088 Pixeln kodiert. Da ein Makroblock 16x16 Pixel groß ist muss Zeilen- und Spalten-Anzahl durch 16 teilbar sein.
TV-Geräte können aber nur 1920x1080 Pixel anzeigen, so dass hier 8 Zeilen weggelassen werden.

Was ist nun richtig? Die Auflösung, die im Videostream kodiert ist oder die, welche auf dem TV angezeigt wird?

Der TS-Doctor zeigt die Auflösung an, mit dem der Stream kodiert wurde.
