2.0.83 Fehlerhaft?

Hi,

habe gerade die 2.0.83 installiert, nicht über die Updatefunktion. Was mir als erstes komisch vorkam war das der Installer über den Total Commander gemekert hat. Dann habe ich eine *.ts geladen und wollte die Datei "nur überprüfen" und sofort erschien die Meldung "Datei Schreibfehler! Der Vorgang wurde erfolgreich beendet". 
Danach kann ich auch keine neue Datei mehr laden. Der TSDoc muß erst wieder neu gestartet werden.

Kann ich auch bestätigen, über die Updatefunktion lässt sich die 2.0.83 nicht installieren.

Hab dann auch kein Update gemacht, zum Glück wie ich jetzt sehe.

der Installer startet weder via Update noch direkt nach dem Dawnload (s.h. Anlage).
Auch Start via Total oder Free Commander schlägt mit eine vergleichbaren Meldung fehl.

Einzig über den Windows-Explorer lässt sich die Installation starten. :-(

Ich mag eigentlich keine nicht hilfreichen "Ich auch" - Kommentare, aber zur Bestätigung der Beobachtung:

• Update war nur nach manuellem Download möglich.
  Allerdings hatte ich dann keine weiteren Probleme mit der Installation.
  Verwendete den Win-Explorer.
• nur Überprüfen bricht auch bei mir mit Datei Schreibfehler ab.
  Ein Neustart ist danach nicht erforderlich.

Ergänzung: Nach Auftreten des Fehlers beim Überprüfen kann ich über das Menü keine neue Datei laden, da dieses nicht mehr reagiert. Mit Drag&drop geht es aber.

Der Fehler war in 81, schon die 82 ließ sich nicht automatisch updaten. Von 82 auf 83 gehts dann wieder wie gewohnt.
Ihr habt wohl eine Version übersprungen und erleidet das Problem eben später.

das Updateproblem ist doch schnuppe. Ich "muß" dringend einige Dateien überprüfen was ja überhaupt nicht funktioniert.
Weshalb ist es eigentlich nicht möglich die vorletzte Version zu installieren? Das man keine uralten Versionen Supporten möchte verstehe ich aber wenigstens die vorletzte Version wäre doch mal was.

Ich "musste" heute morgen um 4 auch ganz dringend, aber das war wohl eher dem Chilli con Carne von gestern geschuldet, als dem Doc  (aber irgendwie ist das wohl "Thema verfehlt" glaube ich  )

Auf jeden Fall ist ausser dem Updateproblem derzeit nix weiter "Böses" bekannt. Man kann mit allen Docs ganz normal Dateien checken, schneiden usw... (gerade noch vor 10min bewiesen hier  )

Wenn da bei Dir was klemmt, dann mußt Du Dich mal auf die Suche begeben, was Du an der Kiste mal wieder geändert hast (oder M$ oder etwas anderes). Am Update vom Doc liegts auf jeden Fall nicht.

I have the same problems with the English version. The file loads OK in TS-Doctor, click the check only only button and I have immediately the failure "File write error! The operation completed succesfully". Next message is "The process aborted with errors".

There is no problem with the prepare cutting button, that works as it used to do.

I have the ame problem on 3 different PCs.
Luckily I still had version 2.0.81 saved somewhere. I uninstalled 2.0.83 and re-installed 2.0.81 and that fixes the check only problem.

EDIT: I had updated to 2.0.83 from TS-Doctor itself. I have never encountered the update problem.

I have to agree that it would be handy that the older versions would be available via the website. IF there is a problem in a certain versions, that would allow users to go back and maybe solve their problems while waiting for a fix.

Yeah sorry, you are right 
I was a bit fooled because I never use the "check only" button (wasted time, takes the same amount of time if doing real processing), so I never tripped on the problem so far.
Now I did, and yes, the error pops up instantly.

Since the error message is "...completed successfully" I suspect that somebody did a wrong comparison to the return code. Or, there is a code and LastError() has not been resetted before correctly (or, on some calls even GetLastError() ist not meanigful at all).

"Use the Source Luke!" is the only thing that will help I think.

( I see, there is not even a logfile created when this error comes up. So I would make an educated guess and say, it is the opening for writing of the logfile that kills the doc.... Which reminds me that this check-log usually was created in the same folder as the source file, which is wrong too in most cases...)

The boss should check it up. So far he only tried to create more detailed log infos, but because there is no log, this approach failed miserably.

A bit off-topic, but for me the "check only" is quite useful. I have made a batch file (scheduled task) which checks all recent recordings. Time gained, certainly for recordings that include lots of commercials. One of the channels has several reruns of movies and series. I use the results from the TS-Doctor checks if I need to re-record or if I can skip the re-run(s).
Even doing the manual check-only is lots faster than doing the full cutting/editing for such files, and sometimes I just don't have much time at hand.

I see  But I still am afraid, its wrong this way because the source maybe on a non-writable network device. So the log could never be written. At least, it should be configurable if the log is created either in the source- or in the destination folder.

aus alten Fehlern habe ich gelernt und hebe alle Versionen auf. Das Problem ist aber das der Doc meckert wenn eine ältere Version installiert werden soll. Ich wollte ja 2.0.80 wieder installieren aber der Doc sagt das schon eine neuere Version installiert ist.
Ich würde ja auch die 2.0.83 deinstallieren aber ich bin mir nicht sicher ob alles Einstellungen über die Exportfunktion gesichert werden.
