Batch cutting of radio recordings does not work

When I try to use the batch processing facility to trim one or more TS files captured from radio broadcasts (containing an mp2 stream only), TS-Doctor disregards the cut points I have defined -- it outputs the entire mp2 audio uncut. I'm now on v3.1.6 but it has been the same for a long time.

Cypheros

The cutting should be independent from the included streams.

Can you post the log file TS-Doctor created for the new file? The Log file has the same filename but the file extension .log.

Arcy

The attached log comes from a batch of six files (six episodes), each one marked to have a few minutes trimmed off the beginning and end. But as you'll see, "No cutting" appears in the attached log. The output files were all uncut, copied whole. It also appears in the logs for all the other files in the batch. Yet I've never had this problem when cutting radio recordings one by one, or with TV recordings.

Cypheros

Strange.

I will try to reproduce the problem.

Batch processing is working as expected here. The problem is not reproducible.

Could you post the file "C:\ProgramData\Cypheros\TSDoctor3\Batch.tsb" before you start the batch processing next time, so I can see the cutting list?

Arcy

I have tried again, this time adding a TV recording at as the final item in the batch, and using Austrian and German recordings for the radio files (to show that this isn't a problem specific to UK material!). Again the batch process outputs the radio files without cutting them, yet the TV file is trimmed correctly. I've attached a screen-grab to show how I'm adding items to the batch.

See below for the resulting Batch.tsb file. It looks to me as though my TV cut points are added correctly to Batch.tsb, but radio cut points are ignored.

On my preview of this post, the last five lines of the log are struck through. I don't know what this has happened , but they aren't like that on the original.

The problem is, that the cutting list is empty:

Will try to check again.

Arcy

The cutting list was empty for the two radio recordings but not for the TV recording which was in the same batch.

Cypheros

Ok, found the problem. It will be fixed in the next release.
In the meantime, don't use the batch processing for radio recordings.
