Do you get any messages from TS-Doctor if you open the file? If the file is encrypted, TS-Doctor should show a message.

Please use MediaInfo under Tools to check the format of the TRP file and post it.


Could you use the TS RawCutter under Tools to make a exact copy of the first 10 to 20 MBytes of the TRP file?

Hi!

I have recordings of a few shows which were made by a mediabox of the Hungarian Direct One sat TV provider.
The recordings are being recorded to a linux ext formatted filesystem, and their files are visible, containing the date, channel name and sometimes the program title.
The mediabox produces several different kinds of files for each recording (11 files, some outside the recording's directory), but the media file itself is probably the one with the TRP extension, as thats always the biggest, though sometimes there are other sizable files besides it (e.g. 300 MB besides an 1+ GB TRP).

Of course, the TRP file can not be played either with VLC or MPV.

However when I load it into TS Doctor, the software hangs and maxes out a CPU core. It does not write any error messages, the logger window is empty too, and if I leave it running for a few hours it will still be doing the same thing.
I was using TS Doctor 4.1.2

Can you help me to find out whats the problem?
I realize this is probably little information to be able to tell the cause, but if I can give more information please let me know.

da ich mittelfristig auf Linux Mint umsteigen will, würde mich interessieren, ob jemand die Version 4 unter Mint mittels Wine/ Bottles erfolgreich nutzt?
Ich habe die aktuelle TS-Doctor- Version mittels Bottles installiert. Hier kommt es jedoch zu Problemen mit dem Ton im Schnittfenster. Deshalb ein paar kurze Fragen:

• Wird immer noch empfohlen die 32 bit Version zu nutzen?
• Muss ich die DLL- Dateien devenum und quartz zusätzlich zu DirectX 9c installieren?
• Sollte ich besser eine ältere Version des Doctors unter Linux installieren?
• Ist es richtig, die LAV-Filter während des TSD- Installationsprozesses zu installieren?

Es wäre schön, wenn ihr mir mit eurer Erfahrung weiter helfen könntet

nein, I Frames werden vom Encoder erzeugt, die kann man sich nicht "einfach ausdenken". Und da der Doc nix neu enkodiert, kann er auch keine herbeizaubern.

Aber wieso "wiederherstellen" ? ? ? die gehen doch nicht einfach verloren. Entweder sind sie da, oder haben niemals existiert.

In the UK, we have a lot of shows with a mono audio channel for audio description.
Would it be possible to add an automatic exclusion for audio streams with only 1 channel?

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit fehlende I-Frames wiederherzustellen oder zu erstellen um einen besseren Schnitt zu ermöglichen ?
Ich habe es mit der Funktion "Nur Reparieren" versucht aber das hat nicht weitergeholfen.
