Titel: A few questions
Beitrag von: ptt am Oktober 10, 2018, 06:58:39
I was a user of ts doctor 1.2.x until my computer screwed up and I decide to use ts doctor 2 in new computer, and I came to some questions.

1. Regarding the recording info file. The recording info files (.txt) are automatically saved to root folder of I:. How can I make the info files saved to the folder where the recording located with filename like "filename of recording +.txt" instead of using programme name found in EPG data?

2. Some warnings detected in ts doctor 1.2 are not detected in 2. Like transport error indicator, unknown h264 error, how can I fix this?

3. Can the file remains open after checking, instead of jumping to home page?

4. How will the "conform PAT/PMT repetition" option affect the check results (not saving new files) ?

1. The info file should be saved to the same folder as the new created .ts file. If not, please tell me what Windows version do you use and what language.
Filename mangling can be changed under Settings/Preferences/Files/"Filename mangling". The setting "Keep original filename" should do what you want.

2. Version 2.1 will no longer show errors in parts that are cutted away, because that errors will not have an effect on the new file and can be ignored.

3. No, file has to be loaded again but should remember old cutting areas.

1.I didn't choose "save new file" but "check only" instead so there are no new ts file, but the log file was saved in correct path. The ts doctor is now trying to save the info file to C:\ and access declined.
second last line of the log file (programme name was removed by me)
Error while saving info file 0 : Datei "C:\(programme name).txt" kann nicht erstellt werden. 存取被拒。
("存取被拒。"means "access declined.")

and OS: Windows 10 1803 (build 17134.286) in Traditional Chinese

2. I didn't practice any cutting before I check the stream

also, How will the "conform PAT/PMT repetition" option affect the check results (not saving new files) ?

And I just have a new problem. a message box said "Error/ Runtime error 216 at 004088A2" showed up when I close the programme. Just curious about why the message showed up.

We will check wrong behaviour of the "Check only" function.

Could you send our support the application report for analysis, that can be generated under Help/Application Report?

No Idea. We tried to reproduce the problems but had no luck.
The email was misleading because the settings were changed in the meantime and email was focused on "Save new file" instead of "Check only".

So it's not easy to debug so many problems at the same time.

2.) TS-Doctor 2.1 is smarter now and there are no longer so much "unknown" errors.

4.) Repetition max. threshold (400ms) should have no effect on "Check only".
