1.2.90 fails

Hi, my usb-tv-stick makes ".ts" files which don't play on my TV. So I have been using TS-doctor to "fix" the files, and so far it has worked fine. But the fixed files created by the latest release (1.2.90) do not play on my TV - if I use version 1.2.61 then it works fine. Are there known issues with the latest release?

There are no known issues with the compatibility of the new version.

Is it possible to post the log files of this two versions? Maybe there are hints in the logs to see the differences.

Hi, yes, here are two logs. I recorded a few seconds of television as a test. As usual, my usb-stick creates a file incompatible with my TV. I tried to fix the file with TS Doctor: version 1.2.90 did not fix the file for my TV; version 1.2.61 worked perfectly.

The resulting files seems to by be not very different.

You could try to use the Raw Cutter on the incompatible file and cut off the first 10MB of the file. Is the file working now?

Hi - the file is only a few seconds of recorded TV (it was only a test), and is only 5.5MB in size.

Hi - I took the original file (the one directly recorded by my usb-stick, and which does not play on my TV), cut off the first 1MB, and tried to play on my TV. The video plays - the first second or two is gone - but there is no audio (the TV says "audio codec not supported"). So I tried to process this cut file with TS Doctor 1.2.90, but it then fails to play at all on my TV.

I have tried to share a "dropbox" folder with your admin email address - in the folder is a .ts file directly from my usb-stick. It is a few seconds of a Danish current affairs program.

Processed file with TS-Doctor 1.2.90 and checked it on Samsung UE55C8700 with internal mediaplayer and some other mediaplayers (VLC,Iconbit,Popcornhour), too. No problems at all. Video and audio is OK.

I guess there is a problem with the internal mediaplayer of your TV set. Please check for updates of the TV firmware. Maybe a newer version fixes the bug.

If it's not working, even with newer firmware, there is special setting for TS-Doctor that might be helpful.

If you use Regedit to create a DWord under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cypheros\TSDoctor\Settings" with the value of 1 and the name "InstantSubStreamWriting".

If this is not working to fix your issue, please remove this value or set it to 0.
